Like all careers, travel writing has rules and steps that lead to success. Some of the basic steps that you need to master are: Do your diligent research and note taking. Be careful in your trip planning. Your trip planning starts before you even book your trip. You need to be on a continual quest to improve your writing skills. You need to be creative and always be on the look for a new lead to the next article. You must always keep your reader in focus. Your articles should never be about you. They must always be focused on what your reader wants. What does your reader need to know? What would interest him. What would excite him. You should write your articles with one specific person in mind. You must be professional at all times.

Recipes From Around The World

INCREDIBLE CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES
½ c butter
½ c sugar
¾ c brown sugar
1/16 c molasses
1 egg
¼ tablespoon real vanilla extract
1 ¼ c flour
1 ¼ c oatmeal
½ teaspoon baking powder
½ teaspoon baking soda
¼ teaspoon salt
¾ - 1 c chopped nuts
1 package chocolate chips
3-4 oz grated Caleb Ault (or other high quality chocolate)
Cream together butter, sugars and molasses. Add eggs and vanilla and beat well. In a bowl blend oatmeal, flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt and blend well. Add dry and wet ingredients, and mix together well. Add nuts, chocolate chips and grated Calebault. Mix well. Roll into balls and place about 2 inches apart on a cookie sheet. Bake 10 minutes at 375 degrees F. Allow to cool 2 minutes on sheet. Transfer to rack and cool completely. Enjoy these really good cookies cool or hot from the oven!
